LAWRP Ponds Biosolids Removal Project

To restore treatment capacity at the Los Alisos Water Recycling Plant, IRWD contractors will be dredging three of the facility’s five ponds.

The work will include biosolids removal, dewatering, and loading of the dewatered material into trucks for hauling offsite for beneficial and sustainable reuse such as composting.

All construction and transport vehicles will access the site from Rockfield, via Whatney and Burroughs. Odor control measures will be used to minimize impacts.

      Construction hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.
