Coronavirus Resource Page
IRWD remains committed to serving you as we navigate the COVID-19 outbreak together. Articles and links below explain how IRWD is responding, and provide tips to help you manage your account.
No Late Fees or Service Shutoffs Having trouble paying your bill? Don’t worry. IRWD will not charge late fees or disconnect service until further notice. We are extending this policy into the new year. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact Customer Service at CustomerService@IRWD.com or 949-453-5300. |
Click or Call for Customer Service IRWD offices have been temporarily closed to the public, but we remain available to serve you. Virtually all transactions can be completed at 949-453-5300 or online using the links below. Full-service agents are available 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. For shorter wait times, avoid Mondays. |
Start or Stop Water Service Online Need to start or stop water or sewer service to your home? Don’t waste time calling and waiting on the phone. Just fill out our online form. You’ll need the service address, mailing address, a phone number, and a Social Security number. We require at least one business day’s notice. Full details here. |
Returning to a Closed Building? When people return to buildings and homes that have been closed for weeks, the water needs to be refreshed. To flush out stagnant water, simultaneously turn on all faucets for 10-15 minutes and flush all toilets. This will also refill dried-out drain traps where odors may be present. Read more or view CDC guidelines. |
Keep Wipes Out of Pipes As people increase their use of disinfecting wipes, IRWD reminds customers not to flush them. Please throw them away! Wipes are not flushable and can easily snag on imperfections in pipelines and create severe clogs in your home’s plumbing or the water district sewers. More information. |
Got Water Budget Questions? Concerned your family will exceed its water budget — and get a big bill — while under stay-at-home orders? Good news: You should be fine if you correctly reported the number of people in your home. Details here. If extra people are at home, apply for a temporary COVID-19 budget variance. This variance has been extended through March 31, 2021. |
Events and Meeting Rooms Suspended To protect against the spread of COVID-19, IRWD has moved community events online and canceled community meeting room reservations until further notice. Questions? Please contact us at 949-453-5500 or info@irwd.com. |
