Full-service agents are available by phone 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For shorter wait times, avoid Mondays. Start or Stop Water Service Online Need to start or stop water or sewer service to your home? Don’t waste time calling and waiting on the phone. Just fill out our online form. You’ll need the service address, mailing address, a phone number, and a Social Security number. We require at least one business day’s notice. Full details here. |
Returning to a Closed Building? When people return to buildings and homes that have been closed for weeks, the water needs to be refreshed. To flush out stagnant water, simultaneously turn on all faucets for 10-15 minutes and flush all toilets. This will also refill dried-out drain traps where odors may be present. Read more or view CDC guidelines. |
Keep Wipes Out of Pipes As people increase their use of disinfecting wipes, IRWD reminds customers not to flush them. Please throw them away! Wipes are not flushable and can easily snag on imperfections in pipelines and create severe clogs in your home’s plumbing or the water district sewers. More information. |
Temporary budget variances expired IRWD provides a water-use budget to each household based on the type of home and the number of people who live there. If you were OKd for a temporary COVID-19 budget variance because additional people temporarily lived with you due to the pandemic, please be aware that program expired on March 31, 2022. Click here to see if you are eligible to apply for a standard one-year variance. |
No Late Fees or Service Shutoffs Having trouble paying your bill? Don’t worry. IRWD will not charge late fees or disconnect service until further notice. We are extending this policy into the new year. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact Customer Service at CustomerService@IRWD.com or 949-453-5300. |
