Thirsty For Knowledge
IRWD has a long history of commitment to water education and recognizes the significant impact lifelong learning can have on a community. IRWD's Speakers Bureau offers experts to share their knowledge and create public awareness about key issues relating to water. IRWD customers can request group tours of the San Joaquin Marsh, the Michelson Water Recycling Plant and other IRWD facilities. Groups IRWD has worked with include: Rotary clubs, neighborhood associations, Optimists clubs, Kiwanis clubs; chambers of commerce and professional associations; and schools, colleges and student groups.

Experts are available to share their knowledge and create public awareness about key issues relating to water. The Speakers Bureau is a free service to organizations within the IRWD service area. It's easy to request a speaker for your group or organization! We can speak about many water topics and look forward to getting out in the community to meet with you in person. We can even set up dates with your group throughout the year on a variety of topics.

Tour Offerings |
IRWD customers can request group tours of the San Joaquin Marsh, the Michelson Water Recycling Plant and other IRWD facilities. Minimum 10 participants required for tours. Tour participants must be at least 10 years old. Tours are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No tours will be scheduled for holidays or weekends.
How to Request Your Speaker or Tour
Please complete the form below.
Requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the desired date and are subject to review and approval. Once your request is approved, we will email a confirmation. Please provide all information requested below; incomplete applications cannot be processed. Allow a minimum of three business days for requests to be reviewed, approved, and confirmed.
