IRWD offers educational events to our customers so you can tour our facilities, learn about water efficiency and more. Here's what's coming up in March and April.

Don't Spring a Leak Workshop – Saturday, March 11

Where: Irvine Ranch Water District Headquarters, 15600 Sand Canyon Ave., Irvine
Registration: This event is free for IRWD customers, but registration is required. Sign up today

Join us for a special workshop where attendees who are IRWD customers can enter to win a Home Depot gift card (up to $100), Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller, and more prizes! Speakers will highlight how to detect water waste around the home. We’ll discuss how to examine your sprinkler components and find leaks from indoor fixtures. Light refreshments to be served.

Topics at this free in-person workshop will include:
• An introduction to IRWD's WaterInsight Portal – Jake Loukeh, Water Efficiency Specialist
• Checking for indoor leaks – Lauren Gautschi, Water Efficiency Specialist
• Irrigation leaks and repairs – Juan Garcia, Senior Landscape Water Efficiency Specialist and star of The Shed Show
• Understand your bill + residential leak adjustments – Brianna Smith and Kelleen Bosley, Customer Service Specialists

Plant Ahead at Plantenders Nursery – Saturday, April 1

Spend the morning at Plantenders Nursery with The Shed Show host Juan Garcia. Learn about a variety of climate-appropriate plants for your landscape and how to care for them. Plantenders also invites you to plant ahead by shopping with a special 10% discount.

IRWD Community Tour – Saturday, May 6

Time: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Michelson Water Recycling Plant, 15 Riparian View, Irvine
Registration: This event is free for IRWD customers, but registration is required. Sign up today

Tour our Michelson Water Recycling Plant and learn how IRWD treats and reuses the water that disappears down your drain. In the afternoon, get a guided tour of the ponds and trails at our San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. Lunch and light breakfast will be served.

The Children's Water Education Festival is presented by the Orange County Water District (OCWD), National Water Research Institute and the Orange County Water District Groundwater Guardian Team. The Festival presents a unique opportunity to educate third, fourth and fifth grade students about local water issues and the environment.
