Decommission the District’s Well 72 at 13231 Wickshire Lane in Tustin
Final work will be taking place this month, beginning Monday, April 7. Capping of the well will take place on Wednesday, April 23. That work will involve the delivery of multiple loads of concrete to fill the well borehold, and then a shot perforation that will result in a loud popping noise.
Crews will be demolishing the well casing on Tuesday, Dec. 17. This will be followed by work to seal the well.
Demolition of the concrete pad and removal of materials will continue this week.
Construction will begin this week to remove the well pump, motor, and above-ground pipeline. Demolition of a concrete pad may also take place at the end of the week.
Irvine Ranch Water District contractors are scheduled to decommission the District’s Well 72 at 13231 Wickshire Lane in Tustin.
The three-month project will involve the removal of equipment located on site, the cleaning and demolition of the well casing, sealing of the well, removal of piping and structures, and disposal of debris.
