The Division 1 seat on the Irvine Ranch Water District Board of Directors is vacant as a result of the resignation of longtime board member John Withers.
The four remaining board members will accept the resignation at their regularly scheduled meeting Aug. 10 and begin the process of filling the vacancy per California Government Code § 1780 and Water Code § 34707.5.
Withers’ resignation, effective Friday, Aug. 7, creates a vacancy in IRWD’s Division 1, which encompasses portions of Irvine, Lake Forest, Orange, and unincorporated Orange County. The Division 1 board term runs through November 2028.
