Seats on Four Tours Still Available
There’s still time to sign up for one of Irvine Ranch Water District’s ever-popular resident tours. Tour dates still available are Friday, April 20; Friday, April 27; Saturday, May 5 and Saturday, May 19. There is a waiting list for the Saturday, April 14 tour.
IRWD board members host these tours, which are open to those over the age of 16 who live or work within the IRWD service area. The tours are an excellent way to learn about IRWD, how water gets to the tap and what happens after it goes down the drain. Additionally, visitors will tour one of the District’s potable water treatment plants, take a bus tour of various District facilities and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the IRWD San Joaquin Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary during a brief walking tour.
Attendees will learn water efficiency practices and how to read their water bills, be treated to a water quality laboratory demonstration and watch a video on how wastewater is transformed into recycled water.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Please visit our website to register.
