Turtle Ridge NTS site

This facility functioned through-out the year with minor interruptions. The system was drained twice during the year to minimize sulfide and algae production, sediment removal, and the installation of a circulator unit at the outlet. The overall appearance of the site is pleasing to the eye with landscape and irrigation maintenance meeting IRWD performance standards.

Major repairs and improvements such as fence post and cable replacement, aquatic vegetation removal and container plant replacement were performed. Water quality monitoring showed adequate removal rates and load reduction for nitrogen, phosphate, suspended solids, and total coliform. There was an increase in Selenium; however, the increase is within the variability of the analysis and sample collection procedures.
