Planning. To Meet Our Water Needs.

IRWD's Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) looks at IRWD's historic and current water use projections and compares water supplies with demands over the next 20 years. The UWMP serves as a long-range planning document for water supply and demand and provides an overview of IRWD's water supply and usage, recycled water and conservation programs.

The plan identifies the imported and local water supplies that will meet future demands including groundwater recovery and water recycling, as well as IRWD's current and planned conservation measures. This helps to ensure that we can provide our service area with a reliable supply of high-quality water and meet current and future demand. The plan is updated every five years and submitted to the California Department of Water Resources.

A copy of the 2010 update is available for review below. If you have any questions on the UWMP, please contact Kellie Welch at welch@irwd.com or (949) 453-5604.
