In observance of Fix a Leak Week 2010, Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) is offering a special promotion to reward customers who find and fix leaks. To participate, IRWD urges customers to stop wasting water and save money by following these steps:
1. Find and fix all water leaks promptly.
2. Once your leak is repaired, call IRWD customer service at 949-453-5300 to request a one-time-per-leak adjustment* during the Fix a Leak promotional period, February 1 through March 20, 2010. You’ll need to provide a receipt showing the repair.
To thank you for fixing a leak and participating in this promotion, IRWD will mail you the following conservation convenience items:
-
5-minute Shower Timer
-
High-quality Chico® Recyclable Shopping Bag
-
One additional AlwaysWaterSmart-branded convenience item (such as a tube squeezer, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, cool clip, etc.)
And there’s more...
3. Don’t forget to save your original receipts from your leak repair!
By fixing a leak and requesting an adjustment during the Fix a Leak promotional period, your name will automatically be entered in a drawing, to be held March 22, to win reimbursement for the cost of your leak repair, not to exceed $200 per customer.
Other qualifying conditions for participation in this promotion:
In order to participate in this promotion, your account cannot be in arrears.
Winning names will be randomly drawn on March 22, 2010 from the total pool of participating customers; winning customers will be notified by March 29, 2010; it may take up to two billing cycles for the awarded credit to appear on your bill.
Winning customers may be required to provide original receipt(s) from their leak repair, dated February 1 through March 20, 2010. Therefore, it is important to save your original receipts in the event you are required to submit them to IRWD. If you want your original receipts returned, please indicate so when providing them to IRWD.
*Customers residing in the IRWD service areas of the former Orange Park Acres Water Company and the former Santiago County Water District are not eligible for leak adjustments because they are not currently billed using IRWD’s allocation-based tiered rate structure. However, if these customers call customer service at 949-453-5300 and provide proof that, during the Fix a Leak promotional period, February 1 through March 20, 2010, they have fixed leaks, they will be mailed the complimentary conservation convenience items listed above, and their names will be entered in the drawing for reimbursement of their leak repair costs, not to exceed $200 per customer.
