The Irvine Ranch Water District is seeking applications from persons interested in an interim appointment to the District’s Board of Directors. 

One position on the Board of Directors is vacant due to the resignation of a Board member whose term expires Nov. 2012.  The appointed Director will serve the remainder of term.  A candidate forum will be held on Feb. 9, 2009 at 5 p.m.  The new Director is scheduled to be appointed at a Board of Directors’ meeting on Feb. 23 at 5 p.m.

Applicants must submit a resume and a brief letter of interest by 5 p.m., Feb. 4, 2009 to the Board Secretary, Leslie Bonkowski at the District office, 15600 Sand Canyon Avenue, Irvine, CA 92618 or at bonkowsl@irwd.com.

The District is looking for a dedicated citizen who is willing to commit time and effort in public service.  Board members spend from 10 to 20 hours a month in Board, Committee, ad hoc and various other meetings of the District.  To learn more about the District, please visit our web site at www.irwd.com

Candidates must be residents within the District’s service area and be a registered voter.  Board members will receive compensation of $237 per day of service not to exceed 10 days per month.
